Day 91 - Silver Shade
Wooooo-wee! My Polaroid One Step Express finally came in the mail today! After a long episode of nail biting and wondering where the heck my parcel was, I got it and brought it home. As soon as I got home, I tested it with an empty cartridge with a dark slide and it spat it out no problem. Tested the flash and shutter, all good. So I cleaned it up judiciously with alcohol wipes (after all, who knows where this camera's been O_o Anywho, first photo with it? The plant that my Dad wanted to throw out. Not on my watch! Sure it's silly to project real emotions to inanimate objects, but somehow, I didn't like the idea that my Dad just put the plant out in the fairly cold thunderstorm the night before. No sir, I'm taking this plant and bringing it to the office where it'll get plenty more sunlight and be appreciated by the random hobos that walk in. Yee haw, I am absolutely STUNNED by how well the quality is for the PX 600 Silver Shade film is. I'm not usually a big black and white photo guy, but Silver Shade is black, white, with some Sepia tones and that intrigued me. Plus I was interested to see how good the quality of a non-First Flush film would go. And I'm happy to say that if The Impossible Project keeps it up, I'm going to be a real happy camper with the PX 680 colour film. P.S. Today was going to be a photo of me bent over ready to throw up, but this was a way better photo. I was going to throw up because Vanessa, our personal trainer, is absolutely kickin' my ass! I haven't felt that worked out in a long time. I feel like a sack of poo that's been pulverized into, well yeah. Written: July 19, 2011

Second frame from my first pack of PX600 film from the Impossible Project. Shot in the backyard. Developed in approx 22°C upside down, using the filmpack paperbox to protect the film from the sunlight through developing stage. I love the vintage look of the Silver Shade film.
