The Coffee Pot in Bedford, Pennsylvania is an example of novelty architecture. The lunch stand was built in the shape of a coffee pot by David Koontz in 1927. It was threatened with demolition in the 1990's, but in 2004 was moved across the street and restored.

The Lavender Office

I bought quite a bunch of Gloria furniture some time ago and now finally repainted them (since they were violently pink as can be expected). One of the Gloria sets was an office containing a desk, chair, copy machine, computer, phone, a holder for stationeries and a calculator. I added a retro style shelf and spray painted everything lavender grey. I also added extra height for the desk and the chair to make them more suitable for FR. The laptop is from some action figure, coffee cup from re-ment and the plan is from another Gloria set although I replaced the pot with a real one. Love the set now. Especially after I noticed the In Good Form FR convention fashion is exactly the same colour as the furniture! Now I just have to fight the urge to buy all the re-ment office supplies. ;P

2011-09-16 - Six Cups

You would think new parents would go through a lot of coffee. But in the nearly 2 weeks he has been home, we have only brewed two pots. Mainly this is due to being too busy to fill a container with water and press a button. Main editing done in Topaz B&W Effects. I didn't really care for this photo before the black and white conversion, but once I opened up B&W Effects and saw what was happening, I knew it would turn out kinda cool. Some minor tweaks were done with Aperture.
