Paper Airplane Fine Silver Earrings
I think that this is much better at showing the main subject of the earrings--silver airplanes. Did you ever throw paper airplanes in school? Did they have secret messages inside? Oh, what fun memories! Although you cannot unfold these two airplanes to see if there is a message inside them, you can look at them and imagine two paper airplanes flying in the blue sky. This is my second pair of earrings. Each plane is made by folding silver clay paper into a tiny plane and then firing the paper to have it turn 99.9 Fine Silver. Sterling silver earwires and chain. Swarovski crystals are added to represent the sky with clouds. Each plane is 0.25" wide and 0.75" long. They hang 1.5" off the earwire. Total earring length is about 2.25".

These .999 pure fine silver earrings are lovingly handcrafted with Art Clay Silver, which is an eco-friendly metal clay. Art Clay Silver is a combination of fine silver (.999 silver), organic binders and water. After firing it in my kiln, the organic binders burn away and what is left is 99.9% fine silver. These earrings have been oxidized and polished to a satin finish and measure approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in length from the top of the earring wires. The approximate size of the circle is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4 (3.2 cm x 3.2 cm). These earrings have sleeping beauty turquoise gemstones, which have been beautifully wire wrapped to each hoop.
