The pipe that's sticking out in fronmt a bit was the one that I had managed to get about 9 mm of thread onto before the die refused to go any further. I still can't get over how quickly they were done: almost in the blink of an eye - especially compared with my "attempts" using the die and wrench. But they were cut on a purpose-designed-and-built machine, and a heavy-duty one at that, so I shouldn't be surprised. But it was marvellous to see, none-the-less.
