Annular Cutters
Annular Cutters
Annular cutters are capable of much more efficient cutting than conventional drills. We offer annular cutter in sizes from O12mm to O150mm with 25mm to 100mm depth of cut in metric sizes and O1/2” to O2-3/8” with 1” to 4” depth of cut in ANSI sizes. Our Annular Cutters are made from high quality HSS, HSS-E and Super Tough HSS. Our Tungsten Carbide Tipped, TCT, Cutters are made from High Quality Alloy Steel with special multi-ply geometry carbide tips. Most of our Annular Cutters incorporate a patented multi-relief design that improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting force; this delivers better tool life and reduces wear and tear on the drill machine. We offer a wide variety of shanks to adapt to Magnetic-Seat drilling machines and drill presses from many different manufacturers such as: Alfra, Hougen, Jancy, Euroboor, BDS Ruko, Fein, Hitachi and others. Gold Star Precision Tool Company’s Annular Cutters are used extensively in Railway, Shipbuilding, Bridging, Aerospace, Construction and Machine Building industries. Drill, baby, drill!
Drill, baby, drill!
Drilling to blast and remove 10 feet of limestone (12,000 cubic yards?) to make a new storm water retention pond and water hazards at Krueger Municipal Golf Course in Beloit. This project will dramatically change the course's use of water hazards. Wisconsin DNR and Federal stimulus funds (?) went to pay for this. The creation of retention ponds was necessary to deal with storm run-off on Beloit's west side. As you can see here, it's mostly thin topsoil on top of limestone which means storm water doesn't get absorbed before running through the streets and hitting the river via Lenegan Creek in the golf course, sometimes flooding areas along Madison Road in the process. This pond will sit where a large storm channel empties into the creek; indeed, the pond IS the creek.
