Antique Adjustable Wrenches : Power Tool Safety Powerpoint : Sharpening Wood Chisel Antique Adjustable Wrenches
Stick, profile My walking stick. Made with half a pool cue, a whole wrench, and a 1" EMT bushing. Then wrench was $4 from an antique store. I cut three inches off then end of the handle and ground it down to 1/2" and drilled a 5/8" hole in then end of the pool cue. The bushing was slipped down over then end and secured with JB Weld, as was the wrench. Even counting the adjustable length, thanks to the still functional wrench head, the pool cue is about 3" short for me. I'm still working how to add the length with out making it more obvious that it's a pool cue. I also hope to add a ricasso to smooth the transition from wrench to stick. 12262005(001).jpg
The biggest wrench I have ever seen. Non-adjustable! I can only imagine what this thing was used for--maybe some sort of water pumping station or capital equipment shop? For scale, notice what most would consider to be a rather large (but comparatively small!) pipe wrench in the upper left, and the licence plate in the upper right! The wrench head was about 1.5 inches thick. See also: torx security screwdrivers how to use electric drill torque wrench ft lbs k tool torque wrench mechanic tool set nut wrenches hougen mag drills |
