78.365 Sometimes DIY doesn't work for everyone! I was so upset that today's 365 photo wasn't really on my mind. My laptop died on me and I thought since I'm technically inclined that I would recover the data myself. I was sure that the problem was with the power supply and that the HDD was fine. So I went onto Ebay and bought a SATA to USB adapter so I could easily transfer all the pictures on that HDD to my other laptop. The thing is that things don't always go according to plan. I anxiously unpacked all the items and hooked up the adapter to the HDD only to hear a clicking noise. After reading some forums online, one suggestion was to put the HDD in a freezer, yes a freezer and let it be in there for a couple of hours. This was my last hope, and frankly it was worth a shot. So when it came time to try it out, obviously it failed! 15 dollars later and over 2 weeks of waiting, I now have the daunting task of finding someone who will recover the data physically. All I want are the pictures of me and my girlfriend and possibly some of my travel photos and some pictures from a couple of photoshoots, now is that too much to ask? So, as I'm writing, I'm hoping that I will be able to get back these items =) *crosses fingers*
