I've been looking for a hand drill for a while. When I was a kid my dad had one and even though he had an electric drill, he used the hand drill more than the electric one. There's no dragging around extensions, finding a place to plug it in, charging batteries, etc. Just like a hammer. Pick it up and use it. Well, both hardware stores (and they are good ones) in Woodstock knew what I was talking about but they hadn't seen one in years. I walked in H. Houst & Son in Woodstock and there in the tools cabinet where I had looked on several previous occasions was this drill. I bought it immediately. It's made by a company in Mineola, NY, The Great Neck Saw Mfrs., Inc. It was made in China, like everything else. It has a date on it that is 02/05/05, so it's probably been sitting around for a while. I think that my Dad's was a Stanley, but it was exactly like this one down to the red gear wheel.
