Cup O Matic Single Serve Coffee Maker : K Cup Coffee People Cup O Matic Single Serve Coffee Maker
joe and jasmine These are the sweetest single-serving friends I've ever met. They sat behind me on the crowded bus I had to ride in the last leg of my journey from LA to Eureka. I was so worn out. I got on this bus around 10 am and I had been traveling since 1 and hadn't slept in 24 hours. It is pretty much impossible to get anything other than a slight dose on a bus or train. I chatted with them while we waited for everyone to board. I thought I was going to get lucky and have two seats to myself so I could lay down and get some rest. I felt a serious cranky spell coming on. I was not to be so lucky as an extremely large man came and sat next to me (he's the face behind Jasmine). I wouldn't have minded sitting next to someone...if I would have gotten to keep my entire seat. He took up all of his and half of mine...and spelled pretty awful. I couldn't bring myself to ask him to move off of my seat (he was pretty nice, just a little inconsiderate if you ask me) so I instead sighed heavily and threw my cell phone at the ground when I couldn't take it anymore. I was pretty much crawling up the window to get away from this guy. Joe offered to switch seats with me but his daughter was sleeping with her head on his shoulder, snoring quietly and I couldn't seperate them. The bus eventually cleared out a bit and my "friend" moved a few seats back. Then I got to sleep a little while. Joe and Jasmine were the most adorable father and daughter. From the sound of it, she usually lives with her mother but gets to spend time with her dad in the summer. He took her to DisneyLand and they were heading to his home in Arcata. We took photos of each other before I got off the bus in Eureka and bid them adieu. It's people like this that I will always remember. Single-serving friend - Day 170, Year 2
02/02/10 I realise that I've skipped a few days but unfortunately I had a plane to catch and ended up leaving the photos on my laptop at home. I will upload them when I get back as I really want to try and keep as up to date as possible rather than having a 2 week gap!... and I probably should have mentioned in my last photo that I'm taking photos at a wedding in South Africa... This was taken just after food was served in the way from Zurick to Johanezburg. The picture title comes from the line in the film Fight Club. Lightroom: not much, auto levels, sharpen save to JPG.
