Ken & I flew into Orlando for the first Endeavour shuttle launch attempt in between the tornadoes that ravaged our area- having been evacuated from the plane twice and sent to the airport bathrooms for safety! We were two hours late getting to the hotel, due at the Space Flight Awareness awards ceremony, and Ken- who is an insulin-dependant diabetic- HAD to have something to eat! I could get USED to the lifestyle, I think! Nice not to fend for ourselves and no bolagna sandwiches! To top it all, later, when we had only been at the awards ceremony for about 10 minutes, the fire alarms went off! WHAT a day it was! Inspiration
I have been inspired to approach a local development company, who have taken over the old Hotel des Alpes in Spiez and will be converting the building to luxury flats. I'll keep you posted...
