HEX HEAD WRENCHES. LONG CHISEL. Hex Head Wrenches
IMG 5564.JPG This was a good chance to try the head stock extension block I bought awhile back, as I've constantly been running into the problem of having too short a space to work underneath the mill head, especially after building up a few parts, like the tilt table, riser plate, rotary table, and a chuck on top. There's no room left for any kind of devices, like wigglers, laser centerers, and dial indicators, and sometimes not even the cutting bits. Here I'm hex wrenching in the two extra long bolts that come with the extension block, and pass straight through it into the threaded holes of the head stock block. Handlebar clamp assembly

You could just replace that part alone, and once upon a time, the smallest parts were available in many bike shops throughout the US. The slotted bolt head predates the now common use of cap-head bolts for Allen wrenches (hex keys) which always makes my life so much easier. But, EVERYONE had a simple slotted screwdriver, and these were brake levers intended for Everyman not just for US mechanics with a wealth of obscure metric tools.
