CORDED SCREWDRIVER. PHILIPS SCREWDRIVER. Corded Screwdriver
Hot water! Yay! (364/365) My central heating water boiler's been playing up for a few days - not heating water at all. I called my landlord (who's such a lovely guy) and told him. He said he'd come round and investigate. I, like a fool, told him it wasn't all that urgent because I didn't need the heating at all and as long as the shower was working, I didn't need the boiler for much else. So for a couple of days I'd been boiling a kettle of water for washing up and taking showers instead of baths. No bother. This morning - I pulled the on/off cord on the shower.....it snapped! :( Landlord's been round tonight and fixed that and the boiler. I've just had a long hot bath and I feel fantastic :) 14/52 Steve Jobs screwed!
We decided to buy a Mac Mini. Lovely little box, but quite expensive. So we decided to buy a Mac Mini abroad to save some money (buying in the U.S. saved us 30%). There was just a little problem with the power cord. The electrical outlets here are different then the american ones. The reduction is hard to come by (well, we usually need reductions when travelling, so you can get a european->anything, but it is a problem to get us->european). And the new cord costs like $20/15 euro! In the end we decided to buy a simple plug for $2, and DIY (DIO :)).
