Honda MTF, miracle juice. Some prefer GM Syncromesh. MTF change is part of the 96,000km (or 36 months) scheduled maintenance. Unlike the automatic transmission, maintenance window is 96,000km throughout the vehicle's life span (ATF is schedule for 96,000km for the first change and 48,000km from there on) What's required: Approximately ~20min Torque wrench 17mm socket (fill bolt) 3/8" ratchet (drain bolt) crush bearings for fill and drain bolts 1.6qts of Honda MTF (2 x 1L bottles) Oil catcher (can be taken to local shops / crappy tire to be properly disposed of) Jack stands - Fluid pump (following Honda Service procedure) OR... - Plastic tube run through the firewall and a funnel Optional: breaker bar (winter sucks) Car should be brought up to operating temperature before drain. Don't do anything stupid. Make sure the FILL BOLT is breakable (not seized) before the DRAIN BOLT. It's hard to drive to the parts store without transmission fluid.

I did not have a 3/8" ratchet but the bits were 3/8" drive, so I had to use an adapter for the 1/2" ratchet and an extension. It was very cumbersome, as there wasn't enough space to wield the larger wrench. I bought a 3/8" drive ratchet befor eI put the plate back in.
