PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 06, 2011) - Aviation Support Equipment Technician Bryan Bieschile from Baltimore, (foreground) and Aviation Support Equipment Technician 2nd Class David Sepulveda from Union, N.J., use an impact wrench to tighten lug nuts on an aircraft tow tractor on the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). Tow tractors are used to taxi aircraft and move equipment and are also used to test purchase cables during arresting gear maintenance. George Washington pulled out of her forward-operating port of Yokosuka, Japan Sept. 19 to continue her 2011 patrol. As the Navy's only full-time forward-deployed carrier, George Washington's mission is to help ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
