1:8 'Race Queen' Figure (sort of, kit conversion/customisation) - on black Finally finished: rather a "finger exercise" than something serious, since I had time on my hands because I was waiting for ordered materials for a larger model kit competition project. Anyway, this is a free modification of a stock resin kit with a rather fetish-esque look - only clad with a tiny bikini, holding a riding crop over the shoulder and with braids. That was a bit too much for my taste, so I took the figure and modified it for a "Race Queen" theme, since I thought that the basis was good. Modfications include an new hairdo (very short hair made with NC putty and a toothbrush replaced the braids), a top with integrated gloves and a high collar indtead of the REALLY tiny bikini, and the scartch-built umbrella, which was made from a facial tissue, laminated with white glue, and wires of various strength. After lots of putty and sanding work (nothing actually fit together, and the kit fell from the working table three times...) the figure was primed in grey, and then painted by hand with enamel colors. The skin is done with Testor's "Skin Tone Light" with almost no shading (but a slightly glossy matte varnish, which creates very good reflexes), the light blue on the clothes was mixed individually - I did not want anything red or black, since would look too obvious. Nevertheless, I used two coats of high gloss varnish to enhance the look. The huge dragon tattoo as well as the tribal tattoo on the back comes from a water slide decal sheet for 1:6 scale military figures - here, both visuals found a nice place, and esp. the dragon makes a good color contrast to the blue clothing. The white stars come from various decal sheets, just as interesting details. Shiro Hut?????
