50 years

50 years from today what will you be doing? This questions has come across my mind every so often thinking about what the future holds for me rather if it will be tomorrow or 50 years from now. Who really knows what they will be doing 50 years from now, unless you can tell the future there is not much you can say about it. The only possibility is to imagine what you will be doing or what will be happening 50 years from now. For the years to come there a various activities that will be going on and changes to the way we do things such as the new technologies and our daily life.
The way we look at different types of problems can change due to new technology and different perspective of situations. For example war on terrorism will be handled differently "over a fifty-year period, the prevention of terrorism is more properly a police function, rather than a military one"(author?59). In this case the U.S. military has passed on the authority for hunting down terrorism to the police instead of the armies  primary problem. This is one less problem the army will have to worry about. Decades from now our technology will determine the gear our soldiers use when they do enter war "soldiers will be able to climb inside bullet-resistant suits that would be able to monitor their body functions"(author?69). The camouflage clothing will now be upgraded in the future. The new suits help out a soldier greatly with keeping warm or cool in whatever situations a soldiers encounters also giving him the advantage on the enemy with various technology specs built into the suit. On the other hand  technology will greatly effect our hospitals and science studies "decades from now, replacing organs frown from our own stem cells may also be routine"(author?71). These advances will greatly effect the way we live life and health problems we encounter. Organ failures will be a problem of the past, so will other common problems. 50 years from now "I fully expect within the next two decades to find earthlike planets elswhere in the galaxy"(author?226). Within the next 50 years I could only imagine that we would discover other planets similar to earth. These discoveries might help in common people being able to travel the galaxy rather then the world. Technology will greatly advance our future 50 years from now "the ingenuity of America's engineers produced a revolution in clean and renewable energy captured from the sun, wind, and waves"(author?172). These advances in transportation will revolutionize our transportation pollution in which we encounter today. As technology advances our daily lives will be effected.
As the future become the present our daily lives will change. Today's routines will be soon forgotten, "the concept of driving to work has, for the most part, become a thing of the past"(author?45). Driving might become a thing of the past or transportation will have changed. We might be driving hoover cars instead of cars on wheels. Some of the common pets might change in the future "dogs will still commonly be kept as pets, but keeping cats, hamsters, birds, and other animals will be uncommon because of the known danger of infectious agents they carry"(author?23). Some common animals that we keep as pets as we do today as the may become infectious to us. These infections and "other vaccine treatments will control viruses and bacteria that cause obesity, Alzheimer's disease, autism and many autoimmune disease"(author?186) will hopefully be cured 50 years from now. These disease need to become a thing of the past as we should not need to worry about them in any of our daily lives. In the future "a global energy transition would create million of jobs, especially in developing countries"(author?235). The future will bring many new jobs as jobs become extinct. Daily life will change as we are used to. 50 years from now "in contrast to half a century ago, the White house is occupied by the second woman president; three of the nine Supreme Court justices are women, eleven state governors are women, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs Staff, a general of the army, is a woman"(author?41). The future women gain as the become presidents a fill other important positions in the U.S. The lives of the common people will have changed for us 50 years from now.
The future has many twist and turns for us to over come as we come upon different situations and problems. But we will prosper in any problems we encounter. The world that will live in will have changed whether it be greatly changed or not will will see.
