I know, I know.. you are jealous of our wallpaper and formica cabinets.

We will eventially totally reno the kitchen, for now the color is Benjamin Moore Terra Cotta Red.

New light and kitchen table.

I was going to take down the paneling, but there was foil and red velvet wallpaper underneath, so I opted to just paint it.

Color is Benjamin Moore Barley.

New mirror, light, and ledge from Lowes.

The vanity is so small and shallow that the faucet had to be mounted sideways.

The vanity was too small to replace without going custom, so I just repainted it and got new hardware.

Hunter green.  Seriously?  I mean if you want to make a brick wall look awful, hunter green is the way to go.  And could there be anymore plants in there?

Wall color is Olympic Toasted Almond color matched by Banjamin Moore.

Still need bigger/more appropriate pic(s) over the fireplace.   

The table in between the 2 chairs is way too high, we just haven't found a better one yet.

We got our new couch from Raymour & Flanigan.  It really makes the room look much larger.  Now we need a new coffee table and rug.

Again with the hunter green.  This room is attached to the living room.

Wall color is also Olympic Toasted Almond color matched by Benjamin Moore.

We still need a new light.  Haven't found anything we like yet.

Dining room chairs originally had white cushions, I recovered them after coffee was spilled all over them.

We got custom honey-comb shades in the bay window.  Silk panels from JC Penney.  Pillar candles from Kohls.

Pottery Barn wine shelves.           

Not only is that seafoam green, but it is textured wallpaper too!

Walls are Benjamin Moore, Bar Harbor Beige painted right over the textured wallpaper. Wall unit is Behr Ultra Pure White and background is Behr High Gloss Chocolate. 

The top black panels house dead speakers.  I covered the panels (which had been maroon) with a black t-shirt that I cut and stapled.

I spray painted all the hardware on the cabinets silver. 

Laundry room is through opened door with access to garage.

All the furniture in here is second hand.  The couch is totally NMS but his parents gave it to us, and free works!

This is actually a Brookstone Massage Chair.  The funky pillow makes the chair more comfy to sit on when not being massaged.

Pottery Barn glass vases on the wall.

The closet is located off of the living room.  It is actually in the back of the garage. 

 We completely ripped apart the closet.  Built up the floor, sheetrocked, closed up that door to the deck, and ripped out all the warped shelves.

No before pics... it was just plain white.  We painted Olympic Toasted Almond and added molding.

Our beautiful console table we searched far and wide for... from Bombay Company.

Fazzinos that are hanging in the hallway.  I bought this one for DH when he graduated the academy.  The other one we bought as a wedding gift to ourselves on our honeyoon in Hawaii.

New 6 panel doors that are now throughout the entire house.

Oil rubbed bronze hardware on all the doors.

 We never would have thought to put a fan here, but the previous owners had one-- so we just replaced it with a newer one.  It really circulates the air around the house!

Want to get wooden window treatments in here or plantation shutters.  Also want to change the color again, to green, and get a new countertop, sink and faucet.

More textured wallpaper.

Took off wallpaper and sanded down walls.  Repainted.  Added new molding, and pulled up carpeting (and a few hundred carpet staples).

Repainted with BM Bar Harbor beige.  Added molding, pulled out carpet, and redid the wood floor.

Need a new fan, and window treatments.  This will eventually be a child's room, so we haven't hung anything up. 

No, your eyes do not deceive you.  That is brown plaid shag carpeting and of course textured wallpaper.  The best part is that when we removed the carpet, the floor underneath was moist and the carpet pad crumbled all over us. 

Took out the disguisting carpet, took down the wallpaper, sanded and repainted walls, and had floors redone. 

Beware!  There really are no words to describe the before state of this bedroom.  Under that wallpaper was yet another layer of wallpaper, the foil kind that is impossible to get down.  Also notice that the upper molding is gray and the lower molding is wood colored.  There were also no overhead lights.

Removed 2 layers of wallpaper, sanded walls and repainted.  Got a new fan.  Had recessed lights installed.

Bedding is White Damask from LNT, Gray Silk Window Panels from Target, Mirrors from Home Goods, pillows DIY.

DIY pillow slipcovers that I made.  I plan to make more so I can change them throughout the year.

Sanded, primed, and painted the formica vanity.  Tiled the top.  Added new hardware, a new sink and facuet, new vanity, new light, and new towel bar. 

Steps leading down to the basement.

Repainted BM Gray Whisp color matched by Valspar.

1/2 of DH's car collection at the bottom of the stairs.  We are in the process of installing accent lighting at the top of the shelves.

Painted over the paneling.  Replaced the carpet, and dropped ceiling and added recessed lighting. 

Cabinet is covering the electrical panel.

 I literally spent almost a year trying to figure out how to cover the panel, but still leave it accessible.  I somehow had a revelation that if we cut the back out of an Ikea bookcase, it would fit perfectly!  Though this isn't much... I am pretty impressed.

The other side of the basement.  The rest of the ceiling panels (we have yet to install) are sitting on top of the bar and the table and chairs came from a friend and will eventually be repainted.

Back room in the basement which still has the original paneling, ceiling, and carpet.  Not sure what to do back here.--maybe an office/craft room one day.  There is also an unfinished area behind this.
