I am an Egyptian visual artist, art educator, and researcher with a deep passion for exploring the intersection of heritage, contemporary art, and sustainability. As a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, I specialize in art criticism and aesthetic appreciation, combining my academic background with hands-on creative practices.
My work focuses on documenting and preserving cultural narratives, which I’ve explored through projects like Rashid Maps and collaborations such as the Bahar initiative in Quseir and the Raqouda Foundation in Alexandria. I’m particularly drawn to traditional Egyptian crafts and enjoy merging them with contemporary techniques, using tools like video art, VR, and laser cutting to reimagine heritage in innovative ways.
I also find joy in community engagement, whether through volunteering or leading workshops that connect art with social impact. My practice is driven by a curiosity for storytelling, identity, and sustainability, alongside a constant desire to push the boundaries of how art and technology can work together to preserve and celebrate culture.
