Bydgoszcz, Poland’s 9th largest city, capital of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and a UNESCO City of Music, is above all my hometown.
Often joked about in Poland, Bydgoszcz embraces its charm with a laid-back, welcoming spirit - the very atmosphere we want you to feel during the congress. Our goal is to show you Poland’s colorful, vibrant side: quirky traditions, soulful music, and delicious food.
Our congress theme - “Redefining the Role of Pharmacists in Health Prevention and Education” - is a call to action. It invites students, experts, and policymakers to rethink healthcare in Central and Eastern Europe and unlock the full potential of pharmacists.
We hope this congress brings you knowledge, connection, and a true taste of Poland’s spirit.
See you in Bydgoszcz in April 2026!
Nature lovers will find endless beauty in Poland's diverse landscapes - the majestic Tatra Mountains, the serene Mazury Lake District, and the wild Białowieża Forest one of the last and largest remaining parts of the primeval forest that once stretched across Europe, home to the rare European bison. Along the Baltic Sea, sandy beaches and charming coastal towns like Gdansk offer both relaxation and a glimpse into Poland's maritime heritage.
Poland is also a country of rich traditions, delicious cuisine, and warm hospitality. Traditional Polish dishes such as pierogi, bigos, żurek and schabowy are hearty and flavorful, often tied to family and seasonal celebrations.
Despite its complex and often turbulent past, Poland has emerged as a modern, forward-looking nation — a proud member of the European Union since 2004 with a strong sense of identity. Its people are known for their resilience and deep cultural pride. The legacy of the Solidarity (Solidarność) movement, which played a pivotal role in the fall of communism in Central and Eastern Europe, remains a powerful symbol of civic courage and unity.
Bydgoszcz is one of the oldest Polish cities, beautifully located on the cross of Brda and Vistula rivers in Województwo Kujawsko-Pomorskie (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). Around 330,000 people live here today.
Over the years, Bydgoszcz has grown into an important trading and industrial center. It’s a place where traditions meets modern life.
