For Administrators

Welcome Administrators! Need EILA credit?

Most sessions throughout this site are approved for EILA from the Kentucky Department of Education. Every session indicates if it is for for PD only or for PD/EILA credit. If you are an administrator seeking EILA credit and the certificate you receive does not include an EILA number, please send an email to the consultant listed on your training materials. All consultant contact info is listed with the training materials and under the question tab.

In this collaboration between NKCES & KATC, we identify disability categories under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), with an emphasis on autism, EBD, and OHI (ADHD). We explore the effects of trauma on brain development and behavior and how to implement trauma-informed strategies in the school setting. We examine effective strategies for de-escalation in school-specific scenarios, and reflect on practical suggestions for collaboration between administrators and SROs to support students with disabilities.

Choice Boards are a great way to offer options to your staff for completing online PDs. You can create a Google Folder for each staff member to submit completed PD certificates and build a shared Google Doc or Padlet where everyone can share out their "big ideas" or key learning.

You can make a copy of this Choice Board for your Google Drive. It is set up to share out Behavior Strategies PD options. You can use this Google Doc to find quick links to all of our current NKCES Online trainings if you want to switch out the training options on your choice board.

If you'd like to look through our online modules in a one-Doc format, this is the resource for you! You can click on the links throughout the Doc to quickly access trainings.
