Hello Eighth Grade Students and Parents,

My name is Mrs. Mullin and I will be your 8th grade American History teacher for this school year.  This year you will study ideas, issues, and events in American history, including the framing of the Constitution, the development of American politics, culture, and economy, and how these relate to the emergence of major regional differences. Concepts include the challenges facing the new nation with an emphasis on the causes, course, and consequences of the Revolutionary War & Civil War. By learning about the past, one will have a clearer understanding as to how to analyze, discuss, and see the connection between the past and present. We will also cover current events several times per week. Students, please email with any concerns or questions, or with anything I should know about you. Parents, please email me with any concerns or questions, or with anything I should know about your child to help us have a successful year!

Units of study include:

Homework:  Students will be given short homework assignments, or a reflection question, almost every day.  The homework assignments will be written on the board daily, and posted in Google Classroom.
