Background Information
I am entering my 7th year of teaching in beautiful Loudoun County and this will be my 4th year at Harmony Middle School. I have taken on the role of Instructional Specialist within the Reading Program and have over 26 years of teaching experience. I began my career in Prince William County Public Schools, moved on to Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and am now settled in Loudoun County. I have taught all core subjects in both the inclusion and self-contained settings and worked with students with all ranges of abilities. Education is a family affair as my husband has also taught in the public school system for 26 years. I have 2 daughters, a sophomore at Woodgrove High School and a second year student at Virginia Military Institute. They have both been actively involved in elite soccer for many years and my oldest daughter is currently playing at VMI. My free time is spent cheering for them on the sidelines, gardening, exercising, and socializing with friends.
Staying Informed
I post my assignments and class announcements through my Schoology classes. Please check there frequently for assignments, announcements, and other important information. Students can find access their courses through the Schoology app in LCPSGo.
Parents are able to see each of their child's classes, including assignments, calendars, and notices. There is a link to Schoology in Phoenix.
