Student Complaint Submission

Student Complaint Process Notice

Compliant with HEA Title IV, CFR 34, Sections 600.9 (a)(1) and 668.43 (b)

Jessup University takes very seriously complaints and concerns regarding the institution. Most complaints should be resolved at the campus level. We recommend working towards a resolution (complaints, grievances, disciplinary matters, etc...) with department representatives at the campus level.  This is the quickest and most successful way of resolving issues involving Jessup University.

If a resolution is not met, you can submit by clicking the button below.

Any individual may make an anonymous report concerning Sexual Misconduct. An individual may report the incident without disclosing names, identifying the Respondent, or requesting any action. Depending on the extent of information available about the incident or the individuals involved, however, the University’s ability to respond to an anonymous report may be limited.

Once submitted, the report will be reviewed by the Title IX office.  For further information, please contact titleix@jessup.edu.

Once submitted, the appropriate University representative will provide you with a written explanation of the campus process for addressing your particular complaint(s) and answer any questions you may have to assure you a fair process.

If you believe that your complaint warrants further attention after exhausting all the steps outlined in the writing given to you by the Director of Student Life or Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), you may contact:

The WASC Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC) at http://www.wascsenior.org/comments if your complaint is about the institution’s compliance with academic program quality and accrediting standards.

If you believe that your complaint continues to warrant further consideration after exhausting the review of either WSCUC or the investigative team representing Jessup University:

An individual may contact the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education for review of a complaint. The bureau may be contacted at 2535 Capitol Oaks Drive, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA 95833, bppe@dca.ca.gov, 916.431.6959 (phone) or 916.263.1897 (fax).

If a distance education student who lives outside the state of California believes that the university’s internal procedures have not adequately addressed concerns identified under the Program Integrity Rule, the following link and contact information for each state is provided: Student Complaint Information by State and Agency (PDF).

Nothing in the disclosure limits any right that you may have to seek civil or criminal legal action to resolve your complaints.
