                                                                                           WELCOME TO MY WEBPAGE

Hi everyone! I am Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, a PhD Student in the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, working under Dr. G. S. Raju Kosuru (Assoc. Prof. at IIT Ropar). I have been awarded the prestigious  Prime Minister's research fellowship (PMRF) in the 7th-cycle (May 2021). My area of research is Functional Analysis and Operator Theory. More precisely, I am interested in spaces of measurable functions in which the norm is properly linked to the underlying measure. This allows a fruitful interplay between the measure-theoretic and the functional-analytic techniques. Such spaces are called the Banach function spaces.

My research aims to develop and study amalgam-type Banach function spaces arising from infinite direct sums of quasi-Banach spaces. In other words, we consider function spaces with local and global components. The local components are infinite direct sums of quasi-Banach spaces, and global components are the appropriate sequence spaces. One of the objectives is to investigate properties that are fundamental for quasi-normed ideal spaces & from the lattice and function space structure point of view. I am also keen to learn about interpolation and the behavior of several integral operators acting on such spaces. Moreover, various norm & integral inequalities are also a part of my interest.
