The mission of Thomas E. Kerns Elementary School library media center is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. Therefore the media specialist strives to:
Provide a fully integrated information literacy program
Provide access to current media materials for students, faculty, and families
Provide instruction and consulting in the use of media and technology
Promote a life-long love of reading for our entire school community
