Flipped Classroom

In science class, we use the platform of a flipped classroom. In a traditional classroom, the teacher presents new material in the format of a lecture from which students take notes. Homework typically involves practicing with this new information. In a flipped classroom, these components are reversed. Students obtain new information at home in the form of an online lecture. Then, in class, they apply this knowledge in the form of projects. A flipped classroom allows students to gain and review new information at their own pace and allows more time in class to do projects.

Homework

As explained above, homework is very important in science class. In robotics classes, however, homework is not an important emphasis. This allows students to spend their time at home on the core subjects. As a general rule of thumb, you will ALMOST ALWAYS have homework in science class, and you will ALMOST NEVER have homework in robotics class.
