I am very excited about our year together. My teaching philosophy is centered around the concept literature is integrated into every facet of our lives. I plan my curriculum based on student interest to best engage every student I teach. 

   This is my third year in Greenville County schools, and my second year teaching 6th Grade. I grew up in Moonville, SC, and attended Woodmont High School.  I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I believe that we are lifetime learners and am always looking for an opportunity to grow, learn and accomplish new skills.

I am married to my husband Luke and together we have two dogs, Betty and Salem. We have twin Girls who were born on Halloween! Luke is a licensed skydiver with over 100 jumps, and an avid fisherman and hunter. In my free time, I can be found in the gym, reading, or spending time with my family and pups!
