In Ms.  Pickens' classroom, every day is an exciting journey filled with laughter, growth, and boundless possibilities.  Her  focus is on providing a nurturing and enriching learning experience for children with Emotional Disabilities, spanning from K5 to 2nd Grade.

Passion is the driving force behind Ms. Pickens' teaching journey. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology from the  University of South Carolina, Ms. Pickens brings a unique blend of expertise to her classroom. With every smile, every spark of curiosity, and every milestone achieved, she feels  the reward of helping her kiddos and a tremendous  sense of purpose. The bottom line is that Ms. Pickens  is equally passionate about coaching and empowering her students to overcome challenges and grasp new horizons while also achieving academic milestones.

Lastly, Ms. Pickens and her teaching aides  provide  a  nurturing approach to help  her students thrive in a safe and inclusive setting. By fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth, she cultivates an environment where each young mind can flourish and embrace their unique strengths.
