I hope you are as excited as I am about the 2023-2024 school year. This is my 11th year as an educator, my 3rd year with Greenville County Schools, and my 2nd year at Greer High School. I earned a BA in English Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2013, and I earned my Masters in Education from Southern Wesleyan University in 2016.
I am committed to building an interesting and productive classroom community where all members learn from each other. I expect you to participate fully in both creating and supporting this environment. You can do so by speaking to others respectfully, listening attentively, thinking deeply about the different ideas presented, and staying focused on the tasks at hand.
Reading and writing are two keys to power in our society. I teach not only because I want to share my love for literature and writing, but also because I want every student to have access to this power.
