ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Kristen Bell and I have the pleasure of joining the Riverside Middle School team as your 6th grade assistant principal. Originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, I began my career in education while living in Huntsville, Alabama several years ago. I was blessed to return to my home state of South Carolina in July of 2023.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC and my Master's in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL. I completed the Instructional Leadership Program and received my Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. My background combines my two passions - education and communications.

I have over a decade of experience in the world of education and this is my eighth year serving as an assistant principal or principal in the middle school setting. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and a member of the Greenville Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. In my spare time, I love reading or listening to audiobooks, flexing my creativity through crafting, designing, or decorating, and doting on my two fabulous felines, Coco Chanel and Giselle.

I look forward to learning and growing with this year’s phenomenal 6th grade class! While I focus on the 6th Grade (Academics & Discipline), School Improvement Council & PTSA, CTE, Staff & Student Celebrations, the Essentials Department, and the Science Department, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
