AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.  Last summer, I attended the AVID Summer Institute where I learned so much about the mission and vision of AVID as well as our goals here at Southside to serve all of our students. This summer I worked with some of you during our Summer Bridge session.  I am so excited to be continuing our journey in AVID 2 this year.
