About Me

Hello there!

I am so excited to be your teacher. This is my eighth year teaching and third year at Southside High School. I am a New Jersey native, but have called South Carolina home for sixteen years. I lived in Sumter, South Carolina for most of that time, but when my family (pictured left) and I visited a friend here in December 2019 it left quite an impression on us. By August 2021 we were packing up to move to this amazing city!

I earned my bachelors in English Secondary Education from Morris College and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Online Teaching and Learning from Concordia University- Portland. A firm believer in lifelong learning, I am always seeking opportunities to continue to learn and grow right along with you!

During my career, I have taught college preparatory, developmental, and honors English courses. I have worked at Pearson, Inc. as an online writing tutor providing feedback for students pursuing bachelors, masters, and doctorates degrees in colleges and universities all around the world. I have also served as an online instructor at Johns Hopkins University in the Center for Talented Youth.
