Hi my name is LuAnn Bartell. This is my twenty-fourth year teaching, and I absolutely love it! I have taught at Fountain Inn Elementary for twenty-one years. I have taught prekindergarten, kindergarten, first, second, fourth, fifth, and reading intervention K-2. I am so excited to be back in fifth grade once again!

My family and I are originally from Upstate New York. We lived in Ocala, Florida for fifteen years, and then we moved here to South Carolina. While living in Florida, I graduated from St. Leo University with a degree in elementary education. I received my master's degree in reading and literacy from Walden University.

I have a wonderful husband of 36 years, a daughter who lives with her husband in Savannah, GA, a son who is a logistics manager for a company in Greenville, and our youngest son works as a welder for a company in Easley. And last but not least, I have a grandson named Harry. He has me wrapped around his little finger!  Some of my favorite things to do include working in the yard, visiting parks in the area and hiking, reading, and most of all - spending time with my family.

Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders.
