Hello, my name is Mr. Shaw. This is my second full year of teaching at Eastside High School. I have had the pleasure of gaining classroom experience from my time as a lab student, an intern, and as a full-time teacher. I look forward to another great year at Eastside High School.

About Me:

I was born and raised in Auburn, AL. As a child, it was always a dream of mine to attend and graduate from Auburn University. With deep gratitude and pride, I am honored to say that I recently fulfilled that dream and graduated from Auburn University (December 2023). Earning a 3.3 Overall GPA and a 3.8 Professional Studies GPA. I also made the Dean's list for academic performance in my last three semesters at Auburn. War Eagle!

I chose to become a teacher because I knew I wanted to make a positive impact in whichever community I chose to live in. Teaching was the clear path for me to take, as I have a lot of qualities a teacher needs to possess. Qualities like patience, compassion, and leadership. My goal as an educator is to encourage each and every student to maximize their potential in and out of the classroom. I look forward to positively impacting each student and developing much further as an educator. 

After school on Thursdays, Mr. Giraldo and I enjoy holding the Gaming Club in room 131 from 3:50 to 5:00. In this club, club members have the opportunity to collaborate with peers and enjoy a common interest.
