Welcome to Mr. Berry's Biology class! We will be diving into the study of life. This year, we will study units regarding the South Carolina standards for biochemistry, cell structure, function, and transport, cell energy processes, cell replication and differentiation, DNA replication and protein synthesis, biotechnology, genetics and heredity, evolution, and ecology. I look forward to learning about life with you this year!

Freshman Academy Mission
The mission of the unified Freshman Academy is to facilitate and support all students’ efforts and provide them with specific skills that can be applied to making a successful transition from middle school to graduation and beyond.
Freshman Academy Vision
The Freshman Academy vision is the engagement of students in a supportive environment that values self-motivation, independence, commitment, high expectations, positive social interactions, and meaningful relationships and develops the responsible, adaptable learners of the future.
Freshman Academy Goals
Increase the percentage of students graduating in 4 years
Increase the percentage of students promoted to the 10th grade to at least 93%
Increase EOC scores by 5% annually
Increase the number of students that are equipped with the skills to be successful in rigorous courses after their freshman year.
