Our School Counseling Program Mission Statement:
The mission statement of the school counselors in cooperation with the Plain Elementary Family and Community is to develop career and college ready students with leadership traits, while fostering a school environment supportive of quality learning.
As your school counselor please let us know how we can help either you or your student this year.
Some school counseling services include:
Classroom guidance lessons that teach children how to be a leader and develop good character.
Individual sessions to help students deal with issues of conflict or changes at school/home.
Small groups for students facing difficult situations that impact school success.
Parent workshops that provide information on a variety of topics.
Consultations for parents to learn about assistance and community resources.

Confidentiality is carefully respected and maintained. The school counselor explains to children that there are certain times when confidentiality must be breached:
