Math Intervention
What is Math Intervention?
Math intervention is a time and space outside of the general classroom where students receive extra support and practice on math skills. Students are selected based on classroom performance, test scores, and/or teacher recommendation.
The Goals for Math Intervention:
to teach and/or re-teach important math skills
to fill gaps from previous grade levels in order to build a foundation for new math skills
to increase student self-efficacy in mathematics
to support student's understanding of math concepts as they work towards mastering grade level skills and standards
