Greetings!!  My name is Carl Wylie  I am a veteran teacher with over 35 years serving students in Music Education.  I have taught at the Middle School and High School level in South Carolina for 25 years, and have served the students of Greenville County for the last 16 years.  I am a proud Veteran of the United States Army.  I served for 7 years on Active Duty at Ft. Dix,  New Jersey, Little Creek Amphibious Base in Virginia, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, and Heidelberg, Germany.  I was an Army musician, and toured Europe for 3 years as a professional performer. 

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina with degrees in Music Education and Performance (on French Horn).  

I live in Greenville with my wife, Kim, a rescue dog (Murphy) and three rescue cats (Gizmo, Beastie, and Aria)

I was formerly the Director of Bands at Travelers Rest High School, where I taught Band, Piano, Music Appreciation, and International Baccalaureate classes.  While I loved my time at Travelers Rest, I am very happy to be part of the Virtual Program and excited for a new opportunity to teach music!
