Hello there everyone... My name is Ford McDonald... or as the students call me "Coach Mac".   I am a 2009 Clemson Tiger (B.S.) and a 2011 University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagle (M.S.) graduate.  This is my 8th year teaching and 4th at Berea High School.  I previously taught at Crescent High School in Iva, SC and Carolina High School here in Greenville.  I am very excited be a part of the culture here. When I'm not teaching the students, I spend a great chunk of time with our football and baseball teams.  I serve as the Varsity Offensive Line Coach & Co-Offensive Coordinator for the football program during the Fall... I was also the Head Varsity Baseball Coach during the Spring for the past 3 seasons but have decided to step away to spend more time with my family.  When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy reading mystery novels, listening to Podcasts or Audible books, watching MARVEL movies, chasing the little white ball around the golf course, fantasy football/baseball and being in a pool or lake if possible.  My wife Marla & I welcomed our first child in October 2021... a baby boy named Knox!  I love this school and community and couldn't imagine a better place to be!  Go Dogs!!
