All About Me!

My name is Alex Bowers, and I am proud to serve as one of the Physical Education teachers at Plain Elementary. I graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education.

Sports have always played a big role in my life, and my love for physical activity is what led me to pursue a career in education. Becoming a PE teacher has been a lifelong dream, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be doing what I’m passionate about every day.

My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where every student feels excited to participate. I believe that physical education should be fun, challenging, and meaningful. My goal is for each student to leave my class feeling better—physically, mentally, and emotionally—than when they walked in.

Outside of teaching, I’m a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Kentucky Wildcats.

I’m excited for a fantastic school year at Plain Elementary and can’t wait to help my students grow, move, and have fun!

Kindergarten: 12:15-1:00

Planning: 1:55-2:05

Office Hours: During Lunch, Available by Email!

The School Day is from 7:45-2:15
