Hello and welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. This is my 26th year of teaching and 11th year at RMS. I am one of three PE/Health teachers. My family moved to South Carolina in 2015 from Long Island, NY. I graduated from Hofstra University in NY with a Finance Degree and then pursued a Masters Degree in Physical Education and Health. I was also fortunate to receive a full scholarship to play D1 soccer at Hofstra as well. In addition to teaching, I coach the Boys and Girls soccer teams at RMS and I am a coach at CESA. My beautiful and caring wife is a special education teacher at Beck Academy. August 9th we will celebrate 27 years of marriage. I have three bright and successful children. My son Andrew, 26, a graduate of Mauldin HS, an undergrad at University of SC and graduated this past May as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He is currently doing his residency at Mt. Sinai, Morningside hospital in NYC. My daughter Emily is 22 and a graduate of Hillcrest HS, and a graduate of College of Charleston and is going to graduate school at University of South Carolina for Behavioral Psych. My daughter Olivia is 20 and a graduate of Mauldin HS and in her Junior year at University of SC she is majoring in Public Health/Biology. We also have 3 cats and a bunny, not by my choice. I am also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chelsea, Ny Islanders and Ny Yankees!
My mission and philosophy as a physical education and health teacher is to help motivate, support, encourage and promote active and healthy lifestyles throughout their lifetime as well as demonstrating how to be a kind, fun and a respectful person. I have provided a positive PE experience in my 26 years of teaching for thousands of students and it’s very important that each student makes a conscious effort to demonstrate the 4 pillars of character education, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Empathy. Teaching and coaching has always been a passion of mine and I am excited to be able to work with your children here at RMS. Looking forward to another great year at RMS!
