First semester (2024-25) Personal Health and Responsibility Education Unit will be taught September 2nd-September 8th, 2025 to students currently enrolled in PE and Health. Second semester (2024-25) Personal Health and Responsibility Education Unit will be taught January 26th- January 30th, 2026 to students currently enrolled in PE and Health. Complete details of the district’s age appropriate, abstinence-based sexual health & responsibility education curriculum can be previewed at the school's front office any time if you would like to view it. Or, you can go to sites.google.com/a/greenvilleschools.us/gcs-health-physical-education/home to view online.
If you do not want your child to participate in the sexual health & responsibility education class or a specific portion of the class, you must bring the signed exemption form (linked HERE) to the front office in person. By School Board Policy and SC Comprehensive Health Education Law, students who exempt sexual health & responsibility education will be required to complete other health-related self-study lessons.
In order to opt out your son/daughter from the sexuality education responsibility classes, you must complete the form and personally return it to the front office at Blue Ridge Middle School. The link to the form is on our website or click below and choose MS Sex Education Opt Out Form . Your son/daughter will be given alternative assignments for the time period.
