Hi! I'm Mrs. Jessica Apple & I'm THRILLED to be the art teacher at Brushy Creek! This is my 18th year teaching in one capacity or another and I have enjoyed all of it! I love to continue learning as much as I love to teach! Passing on my love for learning to others is so exciting to me! In my art classroom we are always busy learning the fundamentals of art, implementing design thinking and having fun trying different techniques!
I truly believe that every student is an artist and we work hard to cultivate our confidence and our skills! We practice mindfulness and positive attitudes while we are in class so we can do our best and create an inclusive and safe classroom. Creating is exciting and challenging and I encourage all of my students to open their minds to try new things and use their imagination!
In my spare time I love to paint and create just about any type of art! I also love exploring and traveling with my family, biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, trying new restaurants and reading mysteries.
