Welcome to my classroom web page! Thanks for taking the time to visit. The purpose of this site is to keep parents informed, and provide resources and links so that students can be responsible.

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Mrs. Nicholson and I am currently teaching gifted and talented math and/or reading to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at Blacklick Elementary. Teaching children and helping them work to succeed and realize their full potential has been a passion of mine for many years.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from Miami University. As I worked within the classroom, I became very interested in working with the gifted students. I decided to pursue this passion and worked on getting my MED in Curriculum and Instruction Talent Development education from Ashland University. Blacklick Elementary has been my home and part of my family for the past twenty years and with the gifted students for the last fifteen years. I am looking forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, and meeting new friends in the GATE program this year.

I am thrilled to get to know you and your child. Take a look around my website. I will be sending home weekly emails keeping you posted on the latest focuses for our class. I encourage you to keep the communication open and let me know if there is anything that I can do to help your child with their Blacklick years and GATE experience.

The best way to contact me is through email. I do check this regularly. You are also welcome to call me at the number listed below or through the school. If I do not answer, it is probably because I am working with students. You are more than welcome to leave me a message and I will return your call when I can.
