2025/6 Season Information: The Rowing season goes from October-April. Rowers initially compete for the Dunstan Arms Rowing Club (DARC) and then for the school for the SISS Championships and Maadi Cup later in the season. See below for how to find out more.
Trials: No trials for club regattas. Seat Racing trials may be required when selecting the squad to go to Maadi Cup.
Trainings: 4 X week on the water for Novices, 2 X week in the gym. Weekend training camps may also be held closer to Maadi Cup.
Competitions: Full list of regattas are on rowIT. As a school we compete at the SISS regatta and Maadi Cup.
Cost: Fees - DARC fee is $560 plus $65 racing fee for each event excluding Nationals. There is an extra $100 fee to cover fees for SISS and Maadi Cup. Regatta costs such as accommodation and food are not included in the fees. Cost to attend Maadi Cup if selected will be approximately $1500 per student if at Lake Karapiro or $800 if in Twizel.
Uniforms: DARC row suit and DHS row suit. The school has some DHS row suits available for use.

Meeting with Coach Natalie to find out more about rowing - Wednesday 3rd September in B7 at interval
"Have a go on the erg" session - join Coach Natalie in the school gym at the start of lunchtime on Thursday 4th September. She will take you through good technique on the erg and answer any questions you have about rowing.
DARC Open Day 1 - Saturday 6th September - come along and have a go at rowing on the water. Details will be on the school facebook page and in the school notices closer to the time.
