These groups are essential for inclusive conversations about changes in the Headwaters of Raccoon Creek. Attaining as many groups to contribute their voices and opinions to this Watershed Plan as possible would ultimately result in the best possible plan for not only the environment but the people living in the surrounding areas as well. Any and all involvement from the public and all of these groups is welcome, as those who govern and use this areas resources must be heard in the creation of a Watershed Plan.

Friends of Headwaters of Raccoon Creek
The Headwaters of Raccoon Creek lacks a group dedicated to its conservation, and this must change. These groups are present in the nearby watersheds of this region, such as Blacklick creek and Alum creek. And these organizations represent the watershed. These groups have leaders and volunteers that assist with cleanup, data collecting, and advocacy.
It is startling that the Headwaters of Raccoon Creek does not have a watershed group, especially with a major development like Intel on the way, but our objective is to establish the "Friends of Raccoon Creek" Group.
This group will include some of the above-mentioned partners, but we also want to involve residents of the neighboring areas, as this is also their water. This organization will assist the Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District with data gathering. They will also engage in cleanups and serve as champions for the watershed in the event that the development has a negative impact on it.
