IB Overview
The aims of the mathematics courses are to develop mathematical knowledge, concepts and principles; logical, critical and creative thinking; employ and refine their powers of abstraction and generalization. Students are also encouraged to appreciate the international dimensions of mathematics and the multiplicity of its cultural and historical perspectives. All DP mathematics courses require students to appreciate the use of technology in mathematics and become proficient with graphic display calculators (preferably the TI-84 Plus CE family at DCHS).
About Me
You think you know but you have no idea! Haha. I am a goofy and spirited teacher but I love math from the bottom of my heart. With two math degrees from Cal State University Long Beach, I will bring to you my love for the discipline and together we will go far. I have taught pretty much all the high school subjects from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus AB. This year I will teach PIB/On-Level/Honors Advanced Algebra, and IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches SL Year One and Two.
I miss my childhood family but my husband, son, bonus daughter and pitbull are the best replacements a girl could ask for. My son is starting Kindergarten and my daughter is in college so we are managing over here. I hope you are ready to learn because I am ready to teach!
