Mary Mullikin

About Me

I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and obtained my B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Colorado State University in 2011 and my M.A. in Educational Psychology: Teaching Applications from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018. 

I taught Child Development, Singles Living, Food Skills & Catering, and Relationships & Marriage for five years at Mesa Ridge High School. After a wonderful five years, I moved to Vista Ridge High School to help expand the FACS program and create a Workforce Readiness Pathway, with classes like Career Pathways (World of Work), Life Management (Independent Living), Child and Adolescent Development and Interpersonal Relationships.  More recently we expanded Family and Consumer Sciences again, by creating an Interior/Fashion Design Pathway with classes that include Interior Design 1- Residential, Fashion Design & Merchandising, Theater Costumes Design, and Capstone- Interior Design.

My passion is teaching real-world skills and integrating technology into my classroom. I am a Google for Education Certified Educator, Trainer, and Innovator. I am an advocate for students of all abilities. I love teaching and have found a new passion in training other teachers on educational technology tools.
