The following items are encouraged from every 6th grade student that is a part of my classroom:

Suggested Classroom Supplies (needed daily) for both English and History:

2 sturdy spiral-bound notebooks with a minimum of 100 sheets (preferably college ruled) - I will show a sample the first week of school- this is known as a student’s “physical notebook” that we will use during direct instruction - no composition sized notebooks. Please note - students will have one notebook for English and one notebook for History (2 separate notebooks).

Pencils (sharpened)

Erasers

Highlighters - multiple colors

Colored pencils or crayons

Markers

Scissors

Glue sticks (3)

Ruler

Colored construction paper (any size) - suggested class donation

Please note: Supplies will need to be replenished as they run out. Please help your child to be prepared for his/her classes throughout the school year by having the supplies they need. If you need assistance or have questions, please reach out to me. Thank you! I will also have emergency supplies available daily in class for student use. This is known as a Give One Get One supply that your child will learn about when we do our classroom scavenger hunt during the first week.

Weekly lesson lineups (known as playlists) are posted on Google Classroom every Monday (or the start of our week). We will transfer these assignments into our Binder Reminders together weekly.

Reminders:

E-mail me to be added to your child's Google Classroom - optional opportunity, not required but encouraged.

The Parent Portal should be accessed to check student grades. If you have any questions on an assignment or grade, it is encouraged to check with your child first.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and your child.

In partnership,

Ms. Azevada
