Mr. Shahnawaz Ali is Faculty Member in Department of Accounting, Catholic University in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, he has been a faculty member since October, 2018. He is also the Head of Department for Accounting.

From 2015–2018, he held the position of Senior Faculty and Head of Department, Business Studies at Rustomjee Academy, Mumbai, India. He has also worked as Assistant Professor with Institute of Professional Studies and Research (IPSAR), in Post Graduate Department, India for 2012 - 2015.

Mr. Shahnawaz Ali has worked as Private Banker with First Gulf Bank and RakBank, Dubai, UAE. He has also worked in the Private Banking Department of JM Financial and AnandRathi Group in New Delhi, India from 2005 to 2008.

Shahnawaz Ali is currently pursuing Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D) at Ravenshaw University, India in the Field of Finance and Accounts. He has completed his Masters in Commerce(M.Com) from IGNOU, New Delhi and Post graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from NIILM, New Delhi. He has also completed one year Post Graduate Diploma in International Business from IGNOU, New Delhi, India. Shahnawaz Ali has successfully passed CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 1 exam in 2015.

His research interests lie in the area of Accounting and Finance. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Accounting and Finance, particularly with Financial Statement Analysis and Valuations. He is actively participating in National and International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars.
